1.
you email jen (or snail mail, if you really really have to) with at
least 3 photos of your pet. the photos should be as high-quality and
high-resolution as possible. facial closeups are preferred, with NO
space-dog eyes. we need to be able to see the eyes.
2.
if jen thinks that (a) she has time to do the portrait
in the forseeable future, and (b) she can work with
your photos, she'll get back to you within a couple days with questions.
3.
you consult with jen about the size of your piece, the style of your
piece ('pup-art' or 'reflections'), and if there are other specifics
(e.g., bright colors vs. realistic colors). jen arrives at a price estimate
and you decide whether you want to proceed. we'll usually ask for a
deposit, which we'll return if we are unable to complete the piece for
some reason.
notes:
jen prefers to work with greyhounds, and will consider other pets case-by-case.
please allow 6-8 weeks for a finished piece, longer during holidays.
jen may or may not have a digital sketch to show you before the actual
painting is begun. for ideas of prices, please see the painting galleries
on the website. reflections-style paintings take considerably longer
and are priced roughly double the pup-art style. as with all BigOrangeDog
sales, proceeds go to Minnesota Greyhound Rescue.
